OK, this is kind of premature, but I did a ten mile mountain bike ride today with not a twinge of back pain. There are several possibilites.
- I didn’t ride hard enough
- I didn’t ride long enough
- I have been stretching lately
- I have been doing situps
- I have put a shorter stem on my bike.
It could be a combination of all of these things, but I think the most likely is the shorter stem, this was the first ride with my 85mm Easton Vice AM. It rocked, it was easier to lift the front wheel, control the bike, and I had no problem climbing.
There were 5 of us on the ride and it was good time. We went to Glendale which is one of the easier Shawnee National Forest trail systems to ride, but it still has some challenging spots. I’ll let the photo’s speak for themselves.
